About me? Hmmm, where to begin??
I’m a mother to my two daughters (now aged Five and Thirteen) who are my pride, joy and constant inspiration for doing everything I do!
In June 2013 I trained to be a Babywearing Consultant (OCN level 3 Externally Accredited) with The School Of Babywearing over two full days back in 2013 when my best friend Vicky and I originally founded Have Child, Will Carry.
Recently (July 2016) I have completed another consultancy course with Lorette from Slingababy, this time as a full time over four days (it was intense!) and I learnt a LOT of new tips and tricks!
I’m insured and can happily share details/certificates of this and my course certificates on request.
Ensuring that I am as up to date on my training/learning is very important to me, I have very recently (Early Nov 2016) attended a full day of fantastic Continuing Professional Development workshops at Carry On London 2016 and can often be found doing any relevant online courses that can assist me in my educator work.
I am incredibly passionate about the vast array of benefits that carrying a child close to your heart can offer, for both caregiver and child, stretching far beyond the wonderful, practical side effect of enabling you the use of your arms again.
If you’d like to learn more about the HUGE benefits of babywearing then I can really recommend reading
Why Babywearing Matters by Dr Rosie Knowles , a fellow babywearing educator (and a lovely, lovely woman too!)
It’s packed with so many wonderful stories and information/facts about what makes babywearing so great!
You can read blog posts about my own personal babywearing journey here

When I don’t have my babywearing/child carrying educator hat on I am a working artist and can often be found in my studio painting, drawing, weaving and generally just making a mess, I also volunteer as a Creative Therapy Volunteer at a local hospice which I love.
Thank you so much for your support of this small homegrown project, by hiring/buying through Have Child, Will Carry you are allowing my small business to organically grow.
Every booking, sale, hire is enabling me to continue to expand and develop the shop/library and the voluntary and paid services that I offer to everyone both local here in Kent and online to anyone in the UK.
Show your support across social media by using #havechildwillcarry when posting your Babywearing selfies and photos, I love seeing what you are all up to!
